Mountain bike lockup

We have facilities, not only for securely locking your bikes away, but also for washing them off after a hard day getting down and dirty on the Lakeland trails!

Drying room

Occasionally it does rain in the Lakes so, just in case your boots and clothing gets a soaking, we have a dedicated drying room to quickly get you dried out!

Car parking

We have private, secure car parking alongside Lakes Lodge.

Bike friendly

The Lake District has to be one of the best parts of the country for motorbikes and cycling. We have miles and miles of scenic roads and off-road trails, and you can store your bike in our secure lock-up garage.

Motorcyclists meet every weekend at the famous "Devil's Bridge" at Kirkby Lonsdale - why not join them. And if you're into "pedal power" then the whole of the central Lake District is your playground, with Ambleside and many other towns having specialist bike shops to equip you for the most challenging of rides!

Early check-in or late departure

Why not arrive early from 12 noon or have a late departure up until 2.00pm. We offer these for only £10.00 - please mention at the time of booking.
Family facilities

Lakes Lodge is great for family holidays in the Lake District. We have a number of family-sized bedrooms and a great welcome for kids!

House Champagne - £29.95 per bottle in your room waiting on ice for your arrival.
Bouquet of Flowers - £25.00 a beautiful Hostess bouquet packaged superbly with water ready to take home - she won't want to leave them.
Locally Handmade Chocolates - £10.00 a chocolate-lovers luxury treat.
Pet Friendly

We know that the dog-lovers among you hate the thought of leaving your 'best friend' behind when you go on holiday, even more so when you're coming to the best walking countryside in the world.
What better place to bring your family pet than the dog-friendly* Lakes Lodge in the Lake District with the finest walks on your doorstep?
Just a 2-minute stroll away are the beautiful Rothay Park where your dog can run tail-waggingly free.
And there's a fantastic pet shop at Waterhead Bay for any tasty treats and pet necessities you may have forgotten to bring.
If required, we can happily prepare food for your dog and cater for any special requests.
*We levy a small charge for your dog of £10.00 per night.
